Big announcement this - We Are The Ocean will be joining the likes of All Time Low, You Me At Six and The Blackout by playing a free instore show for those very lovely people over at Banquet Records (that's Kingston in Zone 6 of London) on Saturday 13th February.
Details on the flyer below, but it's important to note that this will be the band's ONLY London area show around album release, so for all you capital city / Southern types, there's no excuse not to get down to see the boys do their thing.
Now, as flyer states, the instore is free and for all ages, but tickets are required and are only at the discretion of Banquet staff, so we suggest you sweeten them up a bit by either popping into the store to place a pre-order for We Are The Ocean's KKKK (Kerrang!) and 9/10 (Rock Sound) rated debut album 'Cutting Our Teeth' or take your chance to do so online @ banquetrecords.com
And for a preview for the kind of thing the boys will be dishing out, check these two videos we took from the band's support slot with Thrice on Monday night at The Cockpit in Leeds. Both songs are taken from 'Cutting Our Teeth', so also give you a flavour of what to expect from the new album.
It's been a busy weekend for some of our bands and their videos. Fireworks' awesome video for 'Detroit' got premièred on MTVU in the US, and both Alkaline Trio and We Are the Ocean have been filming for upcoming singles (the tracks 'This Addiction' and 'These Days I Have Nothing' respectively).
Go here for the 'Detroit' video and then check out some photos from the Alk3 and WATO shoots (follow @Alkaline_Trio and @wearetheocean for more pics). Happy viewing!

Alkaline Trio and Hassle Records are together again to release the band’s seventh studio album in partnership with the band’s own label, Heart & Skull.
'The Addiction' will be due out 22nd February 2010.
Wez, label manager speaks out and says “I am over the bloody moon!” With all things dark and wonderful Alkaline Trio have come back with an excellent release that will be sure to have the Trio fans begging for the bands return to the UK.
Matt Skiba says, “we are honored to be putting out yet another record with Hassle. They have always been like family to us and it’s good to be home again, we couldn’t be more excited.”
Upon release they will also be a *deluxe edition* of the album containing 6 bonus tracks and a bonus dvd that is a full electric live set, recorded from Las Vegas last summer.
