Carrying on the tradition of every year, here's the Hassle Records staff (along with contribution from our friends at Vagrant UK) Top 10 Albums of 2008, Top 5 Gigs of 2008 and our picks for success / greatness / awesomeness in 2009.  For the first time ever, we've not allowed ourselves to put any Hassle / Vagrant bands in the albums list.  We love them all, we're insanely proud of all of them, but, y'know, we listen to loads of stuff, it's nice to have a bit of variety and not have our charts dominated by our own releases.  Here goes...

So, as is our way, we spent all weekend at various shows.  Friday night was an almighty band from Preston called Failsafe at the Underworld, Saturday was the Never Say Die metalfest bonanza in Kentish Town, and Sunday, we popped over to Kingston to watch UK thrash bastards The Quarry.  Needless to say we had an AWESOME weekend.

For footage from the Failsafe and The Quarry shows, head over to our blog
